Ensemble Therapeutics is developing novel classes of therapeutics (Ensemblins™) and diagnostics using its proprietary chemistry platforms. Ensemble Therapeutics is using DNA-Programmed Chemistry™ (DPC™) to discover drug candidates against historically challenging targets such as protein-protein interactions, phosphatases, and proteases. DNA-Programmed Chemistry™ ( DPC™) is a patented method employing DNA to control chemical reactions. Every chemical reactant and product is identified by a specific DNA tag.
Job Description:
Our company uses large selection based datasets to identify compounds likely to inhibit pharmacological targets. To increase the throughput and turn-around time of our analysis, we are currently seeking an associate scientist in Cambridge, MA. The Associate Scientist position will:
- Support the Informatics team with data management and analysis.
- Collaborate with other members of the informatics and selection groups.
- Maintain records in the form of notebooks, technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
- Analyze sequencing data by running and modifying linux scripts. Our programs are written mostly in python, C, and awk.
- Loading biological or chemical data into the database. This involves using an Oracle database to track the selections, compounds, and hits.
The candidate must be:
- Comfortable with processing large datasets
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to use the Linux command line easily
- Able to write/modify python code
We expect the candidate to have a BS/MS in a relevant science and experience or advanced coursework in informatics or statistics. Statistics, data modeling, or algorithm optimization is a plus.
