Ensemble Therapeutics is seeking a biochemist or molecular biologist bench scientist to be part of an interdisciplinary team of drug discovery scientists. He/She will be involved in the application of affinity-based screening methods to interrogate synthetic libraries of proprietary macrocycles against protein-protein interaction targets of therapeutic value.
Job Description:
Working under the supervision of a Senior Scientist/Director, the RA, Drug Discovery/Screening will be focused on the development and application of in‑vitro assays and the optimization and application of affinity-based screening of diverse chemical libraries.
Relevant skills/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus a minimum of 2 years relevant laboratory experience or a Master’s with 1+ year of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of basic biochemistry and molecular biology with exposure to PCR; experience in display-based screening technologies is a plus
- Show the ability to carry out consistently high quality science as indicated by successful completion of screening projects.
- Show the ability to plan and execute complex experiments with minimal supervision.
- Be able to independently schedule and prioritize workload to maximize productivity
- Effectively organize and present scientific plans and data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the candidate will take an active laboratory role as a team member in discovery projects and, as appropriate, serve as a team leader or as a champion of a program.
- The candidate must be flexible, and be adept at multitasking as well as comfortable working in a fast-paced and challenging matrix discovery environment.
