Responsibilities of this position will include:
- The design and synthesis of bioconjugates of oligonucleotides
and small organic molecules.
- Purification and analysis of nucleic acid bioconjugates using
modern analytical techniques (primarily semi-preparative HPLC, dPAGE,
and LC-MS).
- Prepare DNA-tagged chemical libraries using the company's DNA
Programmed Chemistry (DPC) platform.
- Conduct multi-step synthesis of novel building blocks and
linkers as precursors for the preparation of oligo-conjugates and
DNA-tagged chemical libraries.
- Develop methodology and optimize reaction conditions for the
exploration of novel reaction in the context of DNA programmed
chemistry.
- Accurately record experimental work and present results to both
internal and external audiences.
Education/Experience
- A Ph.D. in organic or bioorganic chemistry with relevant
postdoctoral experience. An exceptional MS scientist with at least 5
years of relevant research experience will also be considered.
- Experience with bioconjugate chemistry is highly desirable.
