DNA-Programmed Chemistry™ (DPC™) is a patented method employing DNA to control chemical reactions. Originally developed by Professor David Liu at Harvard University, DPC reactions occur between pairs of chemical building blocks attached to complementary DNA strands. The specificity achieved by DPC is analogous to single turnover enzyme catalysis. Applications of DPC include synthesis of diverse chemical libraries, discovery of new chemical reactions, and in situ generation of signal-emitting compounds for use in biodetection applications. Ensemble has developed DPC to be the most effective way of generating libraries of macrocycles. Ensemble Therapeutics' intellectual property estate includes patents and trade secrets. Our patent estate includes the patent families that Ensemble exclusively licensed from Harvard University that include the DNA-Programmed Chemistry™ (DPC™) platform technology invented in Professor David Liu's lab at Harvard. We have ten patents issued worldwide that are related to our core DPC technology. Our dominant patent estate also includes numerous patent applications filed by Ensemble that protect our inventions directed at the discovery and development of novel therapeutic and diagnostic agents, including issued patents in the US and Europe.
