Recognizes a protein of 40-45 kDa , identified as human milk fat globule membrane protein (HMFG). HMFG is present on normal human breast epithelial cells and cell lines derived from breast carcinomas , as well as to the outer surface of the human milk fat globule. HMFG is considered as a differentiation marker. It is useful as specific breast epithelial marker and can also provide a tool to study the role of the cell surface in normal and neoplastic mammary development.Primary antibodies are available purified , or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets , because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
